The Green Man had become interested in Dakanon. He was an interesting sort. Never quite giving up, and never quite doing things perfectly. Imperfection gave character, and this one had alot.

Interested in the large mans (for he truly was LARGE now) actions, and not having someone to tage along with the new found party, the Green Man did so himself.

The heroic fight that ensued because of slaver transports was a sight to behold.

Dakanon, trying to not be threatening, held out his hands, palms out. He talked about losing his friend (who had walked off during the night, sleepwalking). The slavers had offered him a replacement friend, thats what sort of business they were in.

A quick fight, in which the slavers proved that they were NOT great fighters, nor were they good fighters. In fact, they were horrible fighters. They got confused easily, sometimes attacking thier own friends.

One even threw his weapon while attacking. This one was a lizardman, he looked quite surprized that it occurred. The Green Man chuckled as he watched. It was quite interesting.

The slaves were set free, with quick instructions on where to go to safety. Most left quite happily, if not confused at thier sudden freedom. Two remained. Beligerently remained. One would say Obstinately. They wanted to help. "OH JOY" thought the green man, "Two more champions for my cause!"

These two were new to adventuring. This was apparent from the first. When faced with short irritated questions from Dakanon, they gave little answers. The man spoke of only saving his skin. His reasoning is that "big scary ugly monsters are over there, and you just beat some up. Not one, but four " holding up four fingers "with EASE, i think the safest spot is right here with you."

The female, does not talk much. Though she tries real hard. She put herself in harms way, just as with the next fight.

Dakanon drove the wagon of the slavers. He wanted something to move his accumulated items. Though what a monk would want to accumulate made the Green Man speculate. The two who had attached themselves to Dakanon (much to his irritation) stuck with him.

As they traveled, they noticed some treasure chests on the side of the road. Deeming that they were "not right" the party left them alone.

A short way down the corridor, the party discovered a shocker lizard den. Dakanon thought that it was not a good idea to leave these able to sneak up behind them. "Go get those chests" he told the man who followed him. Who in turn, shrugged and trudged off. When he got to the chests, he grabbed one, and was stuck. It was coated with a slime that held him fast in place.

"HELP" he screamed, and then the chest hit him. It was a mimic, a nasty and dangerous creature that mimic'd items to lure adventurers so that they may feed. This one was a treasure chest. Dakanon came running to help. His speed quickly outdistancing the female.

On her way to help, she was accosted by shocker lizards. The nasty creatures jumped on her back, and shocked her to sleep. Thier shock only knocked a person senseless.

The fight with the mimic was interesting to watch. Dakanon drew a weapon, the mans sword. Not being familiar with it, he was not as effective. If he had used his hands, he may have been stuck was well. The tactic was sound, and it worked.

In the aftermath of the battle, Dakanon found the girl, and helped her recover. She had fought well, as had the man. Though, The Green Man was not sure if Dakanon thought so. His gruff demeanor towards them was understandable, he was saddled with three new people, and only bound to one.

The Green Man smiled at the group as he left to summon Chmeorl for a report. Perhaps the "Children" of Dakanons party would teach him as much as they will learn from him.

The gnome watched Dakanon leave. "I wonder if he truly understands what he's getting into?" he thought to himself. Dakanon had changed upon completion of the spell. His final evolution had taken hold. The evolution was an evolution borne of the spirit, enacted through the body. It is a change to show the evolution of the spirit.

Dakanon had grown up. He began in life as any child. Without knowledge of what he could do. He followed his pack, just as a goblinoid would. Without question, wanting to be more.

Then he became as any Orc, still a follower, but heartier. Able to do more, to think some about his actions. Stronger, though this strength is of the body only.

His next evolution was perhaps the most insidious of all. He became as a hobgoblin, stronger, and more skillfull. The skillfull part is the most important part. He began to learn that there are other things to do than just kill and hurt. He knew it all along, however, he had not truly understood it. It was during this stage that he was deprived of his physical form. Not through the evolution process, but through the fate process. Had he not wanted to continue living, he would have passed into the next world. However, he chose to stay, whether out of duty or out of yearning to stay in this world, the gnome did not know.

The ghost form was a true learning experience for Dakanon. Being deprived of his physical form, Dakanon had to learn his other skills. In doing so, he had learned a strenghth of spirit. That lesson had brought on his final evolution, the Ogre.

Upon completion of the spell, His truly strong form had taken hold for his final evolution. His form grew to ten feet tall, and now he is stronger than ever. He has learned to not kill everything he comes in contact with. He has grown up. He has become his own person, with his own quest, and his own ideals.

If only the girls evolutionary spark would progress as well as Dakanons.
